Dr. James K. Cardi, a Rhode Island native and board-certified Internist, brings decades of experience in Internal Medicine to his aesthetics practice. Trained at Brown University, Dr. Cardi has been practicing medicine since the 1990s, gaining a reputation for his ability to use complex, innovative strategies to diagnose and treat patients effectively. Born into a family of doctors, his deep-rooted passion for medicine and commitment to patient care has always been at the forefront of his practice.

He has dedicated his practice to prioritizing patient-centered care, empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health. This patient-first philosophy naturally extended into his work in Aesthetic Medicine, where Dr. Cardi takes great care to ensure that every treatment plan is personalized and based on the latest research.

Donna Zaken, NP

Adult Nurse Practitioner

Donna graduated from Stony Brook University with high honors in 2004, as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner.

After practicing traditional medicine for several years, she received a certificate of training from the Institute of Functional Medicine. She also pursued training in nutrigenomics - the study of how food affects our genes, and the health of our bodies and our skin. Being very fair skinned as a red head, when she started to show clear signs of aging, especially her face, she began exploring natural, healthy ways to rejuvenate the skin, and slow down the aging process of the skin.

She subsequently became formally trained in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for men and women. Hormones play an integral role in our overall health, the feeling of well-being, having enough energy to continue to pursue our favorite activities, and the health of our skin.

Today, Donna specializes in Aesthetic Medicine, which she combines with a functional medicine approach, focusing on the body systems that most affect our skin - hormonal
organs, gut and skin microbiomes, nutrition, and genetic testing, to optimize overall health, and the healthy and more youthful appearance of your skin.
